Easter collage!
I thought I would make this collage for Easter to wish everybody Happy Easter and of course Speedy takes centre stage.
Rachel, your cards are so beautiful. I have not yet, but I will be contributing to bunnies you told us about. It is so dear of you to be a part of the great circle of bunny love.
Rachel, we do, and you are so kind about sharing, but that doesn't mean that Speedy's picture doesn't belong in the National Portrait Gallery and in gift shops. If he is shy (not likely) about his name being a household word, we could call his portrait "a Study of Auntie Jane's Nephew." Oh, dear, hmmm, he does have other Aunties. Oh, we'll, most of them are too shy and retiring for a job like this. Take Brandi, for example, she would not want to disappoint Speedy, but she is much too shy and retiring for a job like this. Anyway, I think cards and calendars and frig magnates and coffee cups an t-shirts and more are all in order. You are a wonderful photographer and you have a very worthy subject. Just saying, AJ
well then its a good job that I have start making a card range to sell on Speedy's blog with a view to doing other stuff as well but thats just for us to know as I have a few more to make yet,xx Rachel
Rachel, I am a worrier. It is just my job. As a child, a little friend told me that if you just worry about, it won't happen. That's how I got my job. So, in the interest of earning my salary, I just want to ask you to be really, really careful on that ladder, check it out before using, don't make any sudden moves, don't use it while there isn't someone with you, and have Speedy there to catch you. If this hasn't shaken your nerve, Fen said say three little letters - NHS. That is very naughty of him, because he would love to have it over here. He is the closest thing I have to a cheeky bunny. I mean that really, he is sitting beside me and well, who knows what my nephew is up to. Hope it is a nice lazy Saturday for you all. Love, AJ
no Speedy doesn't help Id be to afraid of dropping stuff on him or tripping on him and I would want to have him getting hurt he is my baby after all.I'm trying to get the main walls finished the the wardrobes can go back then its a little bit a round the window then back to the flowers the main walls will get finished end of next week then I will have better idea on how much longer...why are you wondering?
Rachel, I guess I'm wondering because I could never do anything like that or any of the artistic things you do. This border is so beautiful and so mysterious to me. It's stupid of me to ask rather than let the artist just get on with her work, but one thing about knowing about something and doing it, is that it can sometimes be hard to understand how much the uninitiated don't know. I think it must be something like the constant questioning of a small child. My neighbor's grand daughter holds a world record for use of the word "why". Anyway I don't even know how long the paint takes to dry or whether you are painting over colours or etc., etc...There is a lot to know in this world, so many people doing things I'll never do. Asking my dumb/inane question just opens up those amazing vistas of what I don't know, and that makes me really happy. It just takes us all doing and knowing what we do, but there are just so many world's of experience out there. Rachel, I was being my usual silly self when I asked about Speedy helping you. I was imagining him with pompoms outside a gated door, but I never really thought about all the things that could go wrong if he were in the room with you or near when you were carrying paints. I think including the need for that kind of thinking would be useful in your advice to bunny owners' series. Now, this is a serious question: Are bunnies at risk when a room has extra fumes? Oh, and did you get an e-mail from me recently. Fen, is still "improving" our computer.
hehehehe...I guess we all have to be child like sometimes it keeps us young and gives us wonderful mystery of life.as for paint fumes I have no idea but it doesn't seem so,but I use low odour paint as it plays havoc with me and my allergies.and no I didn't get your email,did you get mine? about that bunny that I have been helping with.xx Rachel
Oh, Rachel, Fen is in so much trouble! He's out running errands now. When he gets home he's going to be running around the house trying to evade me! I just wish his dashes were as cute as Speedy's! If that were so, his computer "enhancing" would have some redeeming value. In case you haven't guessed, all this means I have NOT gotten your e-mail. Could Speedy start an advice column? You know, answer questions from females occasionally driven to distraction. He would get this one a lot, but I'll be the first to ask - Should I have stuck with bunnies? Would it help if I got him some building blocks? Sigh...
Hehehe....I some how think building blocks wouldn't help.I am glad I'm not the only one who gets computer problems from time to time.my desk top is down at the moment due to my broad band stopping my security with no warning,it used to be part of my package but they have stopped that and you have to pay extra,so when I tried to do that it wouldn't let me down load it so I got cross with company and gave them what for .I have now got from somewhere else it will be delivered next week.....still cross about the hasssel it caused.Fen will sort it but May be a bunny would sooth you ? Oh, please let me dream that dream tonight! Snuggling with the world's bestest bunn would always be too good to be anything but a dream. My little nephew is a sweetheart. Would you please snuggle him for me. I'd like to dream about that, too, especially knowing it can be for real, too. AJ

Rachel, it can't be, can it? You can't, you can't really have run out of bananas? Swoons, Fen finds her, she is whispering incoherently, "Speedy, my poor dear Speedy.."
oh don't worry Speedy still has Apples,Pears and carrots,parsley ,rocket,spinach,raisins,cranberrys oh and his wagg carrot bakes and the occasional piece of popcorn as we can eat that with out Speedy taking a bit he goes mad for it lots and lots of meadow hay that we collected last year from Nicks friends field and his peelts too.There will be more Bananas on monday when I do my shopping.Speedy is spoilt and is so far from staving ,I might see if he like pine apple as I have a fresh one to cut up and the center is supposed to be good for bunnys,hehehe,xxRachel

Well, Rachel, just as long as my Nephew has been testing them all is well, no more swooning I said to myself, but then I got your e-mail that said you had gotten my e-mail the second time I sent it. This is very mysterious, but you are right about me needing to learn more. Fen is still in complete denial. I'm sorry you will find my e-mail reply so short, but Fen also claimed to be in desperate need of it. I can communicate with your blog on a tablet which unfortunately doesn't have an e-mail connection. E-mail requires using some computers downstairs that Fen tinkers with frequently. I sort of hurt the case I was making in blaming him for the e-mail problems yesterday when I came home from the shelter and told him the car air conditioning had stopped working. He then explained to me that I had probably hit the button on the steering wheel that turns off the AC. Who knew? Anyway, Peace, Blessings, And big hugs.
Oh Jane you do make me laugh,what type of Tablet do you have as it seems a bit strange that you don't have email on it,it should be no different than on my smart phone you might need to set up a pop 3 account so that it comes through on it why don't you ask Fen to look into it for you as its simple to do there should be a function to set it up in the settings menu.But I think you may be to hard on Fen with the emails going awol as It may be a internet server glitch of to internet browsers not toalking to each other at times,which I think is more likely.Ask him nicely and I'm sure he will be happy to look to see if it can be done if means you don't have to use the main computer so much and if it can't you still should be able to log in manually through the browser on your tablet,xx Rachel
Rachel, I don't know if you've seen the most recent HOR posting, but The Princess is complaining about the noise and asks RG to tell BL to stop mowing. RG replies something like, you tell her to to The Princess. I am going to show Fen your message. So you get to tell him. Anyway, I think it is just the cost of the e-mail service that Fen is quibbling about. What I have is an IPad and apparently it would cost more to get it for the IPad. It is set up for it and I think I am looking at a little icon that tells me how good my Verizon reception would be if I only had it. Anyway, I am currently begging him for help on some shelter improvements right now so that is my current pester project. Everything else is on hold. On the subject of the shelter, on Monday I had that very special feeling you can only get when you look out of the corner of your eye and notice a bunny on the loose. It happened 5 times on Monday with 5 different bunnies. I was there by myself, but all the bunnies were very nice about letting me put them back into their bunny enclosures. About the fourth time this happened, I started wondering if Speedy was signaling them to join him at the door of one of his magic closets, and I'd just caught them in the act. I can't say for sure, if it was Speedy's doing, but it was something very important, because I actually saw the fifth bunny jump flat footed over his folding fence enclosure. I could hardly believe my eyes much less account for these movements. Thank goodness all the bunnies are inside, but that can be surprising little help, if the bunny doesn't want to go home. I have noticed another new behaviour recently as well. It seems all our bunnies have decided it is better to steal than receive. They are reaching to get their neighbors hay when the have plenty of their own. I need some of your expertise here, Rachel. Just something to mull over while you make that crumble. Give my love, without my suspicions to Speedy, Love, AJ
Hehehe Ah the joys of bunnies,I'm afraid the Speedy isn't guilty,well at least I don't think so,Bunnies are such mischief makers by nature that they are always doing things that we would think is naughty or wrong but really it just the way they are cheeky little monkeys hehehe,like wanting what the other buns have that they just have to try.My first bunny was always jump out of his pen and on to my bed just for the hell of it and my bed was really high from floor to the flat surface of the bed,Speedy tends to jump down from high surfaces as he hasn't managed the jumping up yet but he is try to figure it out because he tried to jump on to the bed in the back bedroom but didn't quite manage it and slipped off but you can see he is still trying to work it out though so at some point he will manage it.I've just finished sanding around the window in the bedroom so I shall paint it tomorrow so then it just the flowers to finish and sunday the bed is going to be turned around so then at some point I can set up a studio area with a desk in the room too which will get all my art and craft stuff out of the lounge which will be easier if I am in the middle of a project I don't have to pack it all away.are you out of bed yet?cause I can give you a call if you would like?xx Rachel
Hi, Rachel, I am here, and almost awake. I am going into the kitchen to make a cup of tea which I am in great need of, but call anytime. I went to bed at 7 am Texas Time and just crawled out of bed. It is a little after noon here now. I may be going to the shelter later. I have to check with Fen. We are a one car family, and I seem to have misplaced my husband temporarily. He will hear me in a minute. Anyway, just call anytime. It will be so cool. We can listen to each others' accents. I am sure you will catch onto Texan in no time. I know my Nephew needs SWWWs IHBF. Tell him at least one worgle is from me. Can't believe the progress you've made on your room. I am off for tea. Hope to hear from you soon. AJ

Rachel, It is such hard work that you are doing, physically and mentally. I am just trying to do some cleaning up and organizing here, and I am completely overwhelmed. Take it easy. We will talk when we talk. I used to have a neighbor who wore a T-shirt that had a No Shoulds sign on it. One of those circles with a line drawn through it. She felt very strongly about people beating themselves up about every little thing the "should" do. Fleetie came up with the expression Snorgle, worgle, worgle, worgles in his/her belly fur, a lovely description of what he would like to do to bunnies. Anyway, I know what you mean about abbreviations. I ran across a couple today and hadn't a clue. I will be at the shelter tomorrow. You take it easy and think how great your room is going to be. ReplyDeleteRachel, It is such hard work that you are doing, physically and mentally. I am just trying to do some cleaning up and organizing here, and I am completely overwhelmed. Take it easy. We will talk when we talk. I used to have a neighbor who wore a T-shirt that had a No Shoulds sign on it. One of those circles with a line drawn through it. She felt very strongly about people beating themselves up about every little thing the "should" do. Fleetie came up with the expression Snorgle, worgle, worgle, worgles in his/her belly fur, a lovely description of what he would like to do to bunnies. Anyway, I know what you mean about abbreviations. I ran across a couple today and hadn't a clue. I will be at the shelter tomorrow. You take it easy and think how great your room is going to be.
