Today is all about cake!
I've just finished decorating the christmas cake so here's a couple of photo's.
I really, really, really think so. It is a bit of a shame to eat, but it is also a wonderful part of the Holidays to work hard on a beautiful cake and cards, to wait and relish, and then to give. Oh, Rachel, as you will see below, although it is a shame to eat that beautiful art work, Brandi and I are shameless, so if you are having serious misgivings ...yes, we are shameless. I wish we could just be cheeky instead.
Well you will just have to get on a plane to have a taste or make one your self.Plus there will be roast turkey,Christmas pudding with clotted cream,and christmas crumble with clotted cream and hot custard...want some I'm doing the cooking as always
Oh, please, have a heart, we won't be able to take much more of this...It sounds so good and I don't even know what some of it is! Uh, so we can talk about the weather now?
no weather talk its seriously horrid here gales,torrents of rain flood in some places not near our house but on some of the roads and stuff.Christmas pudding is a traditional steamed pudding with fruit and nuts and brandy dark almost black in colour very rich very tasty and clotted cream is made in local dairies very thick and melts when you put it on hot thing again very rich and very naughty, and the crumble is my own dish all very yummy
Dear Rachel, I am so sorry about the weather. I was just reading about some of the flooding. We make jokes about talking about the weather here in Texas. It is kind of a folklore farming stereotype of how Texans pass the time. I did not realize what a serious situation you all have developing. Please tell Speedy that he is going to have to forgive Auntie Jane again. Sending prayers to you and all who are facing these challenges. We better stick with talking about the food, and it sounds so yummy. Take care. Oh, Brandi and I will let you know when our plane arrives. Our plans are still not definite because Brandi is determined to fit the van with wings. We'll see. All the best, Auntie Jane
that's ok Jane I'll make room more the merrier,plus I really go to town with the house,I love christmas the only time I get to be a kid apart from doing stuff with Speedy and its his first christmas proper one that is so it makes it extra special.nearly finished the inside decorations too...I know its early but I can't do outside yet with the weather which is what I mormally do this weekend,Speedy says nothing to forgive and to tell you he's sending a kiss on the wind so be sure to catch it,xxSpeedy and Rachel
Recipe? You just can't post a cake and tease us like this without a recipe! It looks ALMOST too good to eat. BUT I bet I could manage to eat it...I LOVE CAKE!
